William Shatner is no stranger to the stars. In fact, after his trip to space in 2021, he said, “When you go to space, the whole world is put into perspective and you start to see what really matters.” Taking the actor’s words to heart, global fintech company Rapyd teamed up with the space icon to launch Hack The Galaxy – a quest to bring together the earth’s greatest fintech developers in the Rapyd Developer Community.   

Rapyd’s Using a Contest to Go to Space to Search For Intelligent Life on Earth

Hack The Galaxy is anything but your ordinary tech competition. For starters, up to three developers will win a once-in-a-lifetime trip 100,000 feet above the earth on the Space Perspective Spaceship Neptune, giving a few lucky members of the Rapyd Developer Community the life-changing view William Shatner experienced. 

Spaceship Neptune is a first-of-its-kind spacecraft where passengers enjoy a carbon-neutral flight to the edge of space with no rockets or g-forces needed to provide such a remarkable perspective on home. You can even enjoy a cocktail on the Space Lounge while taking in the 100,000 foot view above earth.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about escaping our planet, although that part is pretty fun, but about seeing things from a new point of view and giving developers the opportunity to collaborate and solve problems in the Rapyd Fintech Developer Community.
