Stripe is an online payment platform
Stripe processes both card payments and ACH (Automated Clearing House) payments. Pricing is done on a pay-as-you-go basis, with a fee taken from each individual payment transaction.
Stripe is headquartered in San Francisco. In Feb 2019, Stripe announced that it was co-leading a $40 million Series B funding round for Rapyd, the global fintech-as-a-service platform that enables local payments and cross-border ecommerce. General Catalyst led the round with Stripe, with participation from Target Global, IGNIA, and others.
