As an Operations Assistant, you will be responsible to supporting the execution of day to-day operational processes in a highly regulated fintech environment. You will help ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of critical tasks such as transaction processing, reconciliations, customer onboarding, and reporting. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and technology, contributing to the development of inclusive digital payment solutions while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.
Key Responsabilities
- Support the execution and monitoring of daily operations, including transaction processing, payment reconciliation, and incident management.
- Assist with customer onboarding, KYC documentation reviews, and compliance with regulatory requirements established by the SFC (Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia).
- Ensure timely reporting to regulatory entities and internal stakeholders in coordination with the compliance and finance teams.
- Help maintain and update internal operational procedures to reflect changes in regulation or business processes.
- Collaborate with technical and customer service teams to resolve operational issues and improve service quality.
- Monitor key operational metrics and assist in preparing periodic performance and risk reports.
- Support audits and internal controls by maintaining accurate records and documentation of operational activities.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to implement efficiency improvements and process automation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in operations, preferably in a financial institution or fintech company.
- Basic understanding of electronic payment systems and the regulatory framework applicable to SEDPEs.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP or payment platforms is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
