As a Finance Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reconciliation of transactions, timely settlement processing, and investigation of discrepancies. The role supports financial integrity, minimizes risk, and ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of financial transactions across multiple systems and platforms.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, and unreconciled items within agreed timelines.
- Ensure accurate settlement of funds to partners, merchants, or vendors.
- Liaise with internal teams (Finance, Operations, Compliance, Technology) and external stakeholders to resolve reconciliation breaks.
- Prepare reconciliation and settlement reports
- Monitor transaction flows and identify anomalies or potential risks.
- Maintain detailed audit trails and documentation for all reconciliation activities.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and company policy requirements.
- Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in reconciliation, settlements, finance operations, or payments environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (ERP or payment platforms preferred).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fintech, banking, or payment processing environments.
- Knowledge of reconciliation tools or automation software.
- Understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and risk management principles.
