As Commercial Director for LATAM, you will spearhead Rapyd/ Payu regional commercial strategy, focused on nurturing and expanding key enterprise client accounts across Latin America. You will drive business growth and strengthen our market presence throughout the region.

This role combines strategic leadership with a strong focus on client relationships, market insight, and regional execution in a fast-moving payments environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategize & Lead: Develop, champion, and execute the comprehensive Latam Account Management strategy, with a primary focus on accelerating growth and maximizing client lifetime value.
  • Build a Champion Team: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing, multi-country Account Management team, fostering a culture of accountability and goal alignment.
  • Negotiate & Close: Lead high-stakes negotiations with key enterprise clients and strategic partners across the region, securing profitable long-term agreements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Legal teams to architect and deliver sophisticated, tailored payment solutions for our clients.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and emerging trends to inform strategic decision-making and maintain our competitive edge.
  • Performance Excellence: Own the regional sales performance, accurately tracking, analyzing, and reporting on KPIs, forecasting, and pipeline health.
  • Be Our Voice: Act as a prominent representative for Rapyd/PayU at major industry events, conferences, and networking forums throughout LATAM.

 

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing). An MBA or Master’s degree is a significant advantage.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in sales or business development, including at least 5 years specifically within the high-growth fintech, digital payments, or PSP industry.
  • Leadership Proven: Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and managing B2B sales/Account Management teams across multiple Latin American countries.
  • LATAM Expertise: Deep, nuanced understanding of the LATAM fintech and e-commerce ecosystems, including regulatory environments and diverse customer behaviors.
  • Core Skills: Exceptional negotiation, inspirational leadership, and advanced strategic thinking capabilities.
  • AM Focus: Strong experience in Account Management leadership roles, specifically focused on nurturing, maintaining, and significantly growing existing enterprise accounts.
  • Language: Flawless communication and presentation skills in both Spanish and English (fluency in Portuguese is a valuable plus).
