We are looking for a highly analytical and driven Payment Optimization Specialist to join our Payment Operations team. In this role, you will analyze and improve payment processing performance across our internal and external systems. You will serve as the bridge between raw data and operational excellence, identifying issues, uncovering inefficiencies, and translating your findings into actionable items. You will drive these initiatives forward with cross-functional stakeholders while continuously monitoring key payment performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal transaction flows.

What You Will Do

• Analyze & Investigate: Dive deep into end-to-end payment processing data across internal and external systems to understand performance metrics and uncover hidden trends.
• Identify Opportunities: Spot bottlenecks, systemic issues, and growth opportunities within our current payment systems and operational processes.
• Drive Execution: Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable initiatives. Lead these issues from initial discovery through to resolution by collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Finance, etc.).
• Monitor Performance: Track key payment KPIs (e.g., approval rates, routing efficiencies, cost per transaction) and measure the ongoing impact of system changes.
• Report & Recommend: Produce high-level reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations for management based on continuous analysis.
• Maintain Visibility: Build and maintain structured monitoring workflows to ensure continuous, real-time visibility into global payment performance.

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in the global payments ecosystem, with strong hands-on involvement in payment systems, acquiring, and transactional payment flows.
• Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of payment processing logic, routing, and end-to-end payment lifecycles.
• Platform Expertise: Proven hands-on experience working with complex billing platforms and payment gateways.
• Execution Skills: Strong project management abilities with a track record of leading complex issues from root-cause discovery to final resolution across multiple teams.
• Data Fluency: Exceptional analytical skills with experience extracting insights from raw data, building reports, and utilizing BI systems (such as Looker, Blink, and emerging AI data tools).
• Technical Tools: High proficiency in Excel, with a strong comfort level in managing, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets.
