Rapyd is looking for a Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, proactively identifying and resolving problems to minimize downtime. –
• Upgrade and patch network systems to ensure optimal performance and security. –
• Provide technical support to end-users, assisting with network-related concerns and resolving connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement hybrid cloud architectures that seamlessly integrate on-premises data centers with AWS cloud services.
• Configure and optimize network security controls, including firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), SSL certificates, and encryption protocols, to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Configure and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Conduct performance monitoring, capacity planning, and traffic analysis to identify and resolve network bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization.
• Participate in troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve network-related issues, including packet analysis, protocol debugging, and vendor escalation as needed.
• Document network configurations, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and facilitate knowledge transfer among team members.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a network engineer.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN. –
• Strong understanding of network design principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing F5 BIG-IP appliances, including virtual servers, pools, iRules, and health monitors is a plus
• Strong grasp of network security principles and best practices, including firewall configurations, SSL/TLS encryption, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and drive resolution in a timely manner.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Industry certifications are a plus.
• Solid understanding of AWS networking services and concepts, such as VPC, ALB, Route 53, Direct Connect is a plus
