As HR Director, LATAM, you will be the architect of our human capital strategy across 5+ countries (Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, and Brazil). You will lead the HR Business Partnership function for a 300+ person regional workforce, ensuring our “fast and bold” culture translates across borders. As a key member of the Global HR Leadership Team, you won’t just follow a playbook—you will advocate for LATAM’s unique needs while driving a unified, high-performance global agenda.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Regional Ownership: Execute the global HR agenda across all LATAM sites, overseeing workforce planning, organizational design, and change management for over 300 employees.
- Global Advocacy: Serve as the primary voice for LATAM within the Global HR Leadership Team, identifying regional opportunities and challenges to influence global policy.
- Trusted Advisor: Act as a strategic partner to regional executives, providing “straight talk” counsel on complex employee relations and high-stakes organizational shifts.
Operational Excellence
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a regional team of HRBPs, fostering a culture of goal alignment and extreme accountability.
- CoE Collaboration: Partner with Global Centers of Excellence (L&D, Comp & Ben, Knowledge Management) to localize and scale HR strategies that uphold our high-performance standards.
- Employee Experience (EX): Champion regional engagement and “Staff Care” initiatives, ensuring that Rapyd’s culture remains a competitive advantage in every local market.
Requirements
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive HR leadership, with a proven track record of managing groups of 300+ employees across multiple LATAM jurisdictions.
- Sector Expertise: Experience in fast-paced FinTech, high-growth startups, or leading complex business integrations is highly preferred.
- Regional Knowledge: Deep, practical understanding of employment law and labor relations across Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, and Brazil.
- Leadership Style: Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to navigate a global, matrixed organization.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory. Portuguese is a strong advantage.
