How to Add a Third Party Payment Gateway to Shopify

The reasons merchants add a payment gateway to Shopify vary. Some want to provide an omnichannel payment experience by using the same payments solution across different channels. Others may want to accept alternative payments beyond the basic Shopify accepted payment methods, such as being able to accept GrabPay ewallet payments in Singapore or UPI payments in India.
