About the Team:

The Payments Solutions Architect will be part of the Sales Engineering team, helping the Channel Partnerships organization to create solutions in the market that leverage Rapyd and our partners’ capabilities to create new value and provide indirect growth for Rapyd’s products – including Rapyd Collect, Disburse, Issuing – and monetization of the Rapyd Global Payment Network, which offers payment capabilities in over 100 markets.

About the Role:

As a Rapyd Channel Partnerships Architect, you will be the product expert on the Rapyd Platform and Network representing us technically as we grow our partner community to acquire new merchants and create new value.

In this role, you will assist with educating partners, co-creating solutions with them that leverage both Rapyd and our partners’ capabilities, and working with them as they implement, launch, and scale.

You will drive detailed knowledge sharing, in-depth technical design discussions, and work directly with partner product management, technical leadership, and engineers.

You will collaborate with Rapyd teams such as product, sales engineering, and client service teams to iterate on our tools and processes thus helping our partners grow successfully with Rapyd. 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Channel Partnerships BD team to structure and deliver winning solutions based on the Rapyd FinTech platform 
  • Be a trusted advisor to partners with your in-depth knowledge of Rapyd APIs and product stack
  • Understand partner and end-client needs, design solutions, deliver technical presentations & demos
  • Create implementation plans, support technical integration and manage end-to-end solution delivery as the partner’s Rapyd point of contact 
  • Improve Rapyd offerings by identifying market needs, creating feature requests, making new partnership proposals, and reporting issues and bugs when encountered
  • Document and build a knowledge base of solutions, designs, standard operating procedures, and best practices based on partner category and vertical
  • Collaborate with Product, R&D, Compliance, Network, Operations and deliver structured feedback from partners, participating in roadmap review, etc.
  • Evangelize the Rapyd brand and nurture our developer community by participating in conferences, representing Rapyd at FinTech events, etc. 

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in an Architecture, Engineering, Product, Solutions or Sales Engineering role, including client facing and consulting roles.
  • 5+ years working with one or more types of channel partners (POS, ISV, VAR, SI, eComm platforms, etc.)
  • Able to multitask and support multiple work streams and partners in parallel
  • Implemented payment solutions based on APIs, SDKs, and webhooks in multiple SaaS based technical sales roles
  • Have a track record of leadership in a world-class partner solutions role
  • Previous payments industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent technical work experience
  • A great communicator, comfortable explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Can articulate design and architecture concepts to a Developer audience
  • Passion for white boarding, answering tough questions, and working with others
  • Enjoy working as a team and driving successful shared outcomes within a dynamic and high-growth startup environment
  • Ability to gracefully take on multiple projects and be keen to embrace opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written English; fluency in a 2nd top 10 language a plus
  • Ability to travel regionally for 1-2 days at a time, and up to 30% overall (post-Covid)

This is a hybrid: remote and in-office role. Rapyd will only consider candidates who are based in San Francisco Bay Area or San Jose, CA.
